Radiation proof lead door
Efficient protection: High-density lead plates effectively block ionizing radiation such as X-rays and gamma rays to ensure environmental safety.
Strong and durable: The combination of high-quality steel and lead layer is corrosion-resistant, impact-resistant and has a long service life.
Good sealing: The special structural design effectively prevents radiation leakage and the door gap is tightly processed.
Flexible customization: A variety of sizes and protection levels can be provided according to the needs of different places.
Intelligent operation: Supports electric opening and closing, and is equipped with an interlocking device
Radiation-proof lead doors are special protective doors designed for high-radiation environments. They are widely used in places with strict radiation shielding requirements, such as medical radiology departments, nuclear power plants, industrial flaw detection rooms, and laboratories. Its core function is to effectively block ionizing radiation (such as X-rays, gamma rays, etc.) through a high-density lead layer and special structural design to ensure the radiation safety of personnel and the environment.
1. Structure and material
Main frame: Made of high-quality cold-rolled steel plate or 304 stainless steel, the surface is treated with anti-corrosion and anti-oxidation to ensure long-term durability.
Shielding layer: Embedded high-purity lead plate (purity ≥99.99%), lead equivalent from 1.0mmPb to 15.0mmPb optional, to meet different protection level requirements (such as 3-5mmPb commonly used in CT rooms, nuclear facilities require higher specifications).
Filling material: Some models are filled with fireproof rock wool or polymer materials, which have both sound insulation, heat preservation and fireproof properties.
2. Protection performance
Through precise calculation and multi-layer lead plate superposition process, the radiation shielding efficiency is ensured to be ≥99.9%. The edge of the door body adopts a stepped or labyrinth sealing structure to completely prevent radiation leakage.
Some high-end models are equipped with automatic closing devices and infrared sensing systems to achieve "closing when people pass through" and reduce the risk of misoperation.
3. Door type and operation method
Flat opening: suitable for conventional spaces, manual/electric optional, and customizable opening angle.
Push-pull: saves space, suitable for narrow corridors or large equipment entrances and exits, often equipped with electric track drive.
Rotary: mostly used in high-radiation areas, with airtight design, higher protection level.
Intelligent control: supports interlocking devices (the device cannot be started when the door is not closed), remote control, password/card unlocking and other functions to improve safety and convenience.
4. Surface treatment and appearance
The door panel can be covered with antibacterial stainless steel plate, PVC coating or spray treatment. The color (such as medical blue, gray and white, etc.) and texture can be customized according to the scene, taking into account both aesthetics and cleanliness.
5. Installation and maintenance
Pre-embedded or embedded installation solutions are provided, suitable for concrete or steel structure walls, and professional teams ensure that the door frame and the wall are seamlessly connected.
Daily maintenance is simple, just check the sealing strips, hinges and electric components regularly, and the lead layer does not require special maintenance.
6. Additional function options
Observation window: built-in lead glass (lead equivalent matches the door body) to facilitate real-time monitoring of the internal situation.
Alarm system: sound and light alarm is triggered when the door body is opened abnormally or the shielding fails.
Emergency device: It can be opened and closed manually and quickly when the power is off, in line with safety escape specifications.
7. Certification and standards
Comply with GB/T 2975-2018 "Radiation Protection Requirements for Medical Electrical Equipment", ISO 2919 "Radiation Protection Instruments" and other domestic and international standards, and provide authoritative test reports.
Radiation-proof lead doors have become a key safety barrier in the field of radiation protection through scientific design, rigorous technology and intelligent configuration, providing users with all-round and reliable safety protection.
